Main Goals
- Project SAVE is designed to engage numerous young people in proactive global discussions, development and implementation of training and education programs to significantly reduce the incidences of deadly and disabling violence among the world’s youth.
- Provide a sustainable and easy forum for youth worldwide to share in violence prevention dialogue and training.
The 3–day virtual global youth conference will be co-facilitated by trained youth leaders and adult professionals in the field of non-violence education. Participants will be between the ages of 14–25 years old. Participants will include college and secondary students, members of youth organizations and agencies, and youth individuals that are registered with the Project SAVE conference event.
General Agenda
DAY 1
- CONFERENCE INTRODUCTION: Becoming a non-violence youth leader
- NON-VIOLENCE TOOLS FOR ENGAGEMENT
PART A – TEARS OF A CHILD: Snapshots of youth violence
A glimpse of worldwide youth violence (i.e., suicide, homicide, bullying, rape) A sundry of video/film excerpts followed by guided discussions
PART B – ONE VOICE: Stand up and be counted
Expert and youth leadership panel presentations moderated by youth leader facilitators; guided “Q and A” after each panel presentation
DAY 2
- KNOWLEDGE IS POWER: INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Exploring character education, cultural identity development, life skills/conflict resolution, and academic excellence through creative activities
DAY 3
- PEACE EDUCATION: Each one teach many peace education in practice, cross cultural communication training and global alliance building
